Open studio event with Karen Knorr, Anna Fox, Dafna Talmor, Bettina von Zwehl and Gareth McConnell
 
Karen Knorr is delighted to welcome you to her East London studio for a collaborative event with Anna Fox, as well as with neighbouring SPACE Studio artists, Bettina von ZwehlDafna Talmor and Gareth McConnell. Works by each of the artists will be on view as well as a selection of books to browse. We hope you can join us for this event celebrating collaboration and friendship!

Karen Knorr and Anna Fox will be exhibiting a selection of prints from U.S. Route 1 (After Berenice Abbott), their co-authored project which revisits Berenice Abbott’s 1954 seminal road trip.Starting in Key West in 2016, they set out to start a record of contemporary life along U.S. Route 1. during the age of Trump. Also on view at the event will be works from earlier projects – Country Girls by Anna Fox & Alison Goldfrapp, and Country Life by Karen Knorr. A selection of books will be available to view as well: U.S. Route 1 (After Berenice Abbott) (published by Trolley Books), Country Girls (published by Here Press), and Country Life (published by Stanley/Barker).
 
Bettina von Zwehl (b.1971, Germany) is renowned for her innovative work in photography, spanning portraiture, still life, installation, and archival exploration. Drawing inspiration from Italian Renaissance portraiture, museology, psychoanalysis and activism, she experiments with, and expands, the language of photography.
 
Dafna Talmor is an artist and lecturer based in London whose practice encompasses photography, video, curation and collaborations. Her photographs are included in public collections such as the Victoria and Albert Museum, Deutsche Bank, Hiscox and in private collections internationally.
 
Gareth McConnell (b. 1972, Northern Ireland) is an artist and photographer, and founder and editor-in-chief of, an ongoing collaborative art and publishing project established in 2013.
